Team Profile: April Miller

April Miller is a technical writer, operations specialist, and marketing expert for RAKE Digital Company.

New Client Implementation is April’s primary role at RAKE Digital. She leads this back-office process for payroll service bureau clients, entering data, configuring software, and communicating daily with the client’s main point of contact. She also writes and reviews documents and assists with marketing.

April’s career began in teaching, after receiving her teacher certification at Wheaton College, IL in 2014. She taught 7th grade Language Arts and Science for two years in Knoxville, Tennessee before moving to Roanoke, Virginia for a short career running Magic: the Gathering tournaments. In November 2018, she joined RAKE Digital as an Operations Support Specialist.

April’s industry experience began in the summer of 2014, with a marketing internship at FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in Seattle. She helped manage event planning, social media marketing, and blog writing. She is now pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration at Radford University.

April has three cats, all named after Magic: the Gathering characters (Elspeth, Nahiri, and Tibalt). She enjoys playing the piano, sewing, and competing in Magic: the Gathering tournaments on the weekends.
