WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR – AZURE/HYPER-V

We are looking for a talented, Windows System Administrator to join our team at RAKE Digital Company. We are a small company of cloud engineers, developers, and digital storytellers. JOB DUTIES
- Building and maintaining Virtual Machines in Azure and Hyper-V
- Manage Windows desktops including Windows Virtual Desktop FSLogix profiles
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and email systems
- Perform server administration tasks in a mixed environment, including user/group management, file permissions, file replication, and resource monitoring
- Perform Active Directory administration including dns, domain services, federation services, group policy, trusts, ldap, radius, and site management.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades of computer systems
- Apply automation and scripting for patch management among other system administration tasks
- Manage Hyper-V clusters including storage subsystem and blade system administration
- Provide help desk and IT support as needed
- Apply automation and scripting for daily audit and compliance reporting
- Monitor the ongoing operation of the servers and provide utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed
- Author technical documentation and diagrams for new and existing environments
- Author automation scripts and contribute to the PowerShell automation library
- Interface daily with customer technical staff
- Design and manage IT monitoring and alerting systems
- Generate routine system vulnerability assessments
- Champion best practices for enterprise systems administration
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- 5 years of production experience managing Windows Active Directory environments
- 5 years of production experience managing Hyper-V, VMware, or Azure
- 5 years of production experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, or 2019
- 3 years of production experience authoring PowerShell scripts and modules
- 3 years of production experience with IIS 7 or above
- 1 year of production experience with network routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- 1 year of production experience with Microsoft SQL Server maintenance
- 1 year of experience operating within an IT governance framework like ITIL or COBIT
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must obtain Level 6 Public Trust High Risk clearance.
Work Location: We are currently hiring in Salem, VA as well as REMOTE POSITIONS
Travel: Limited travel required

Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
